We can’t think of a better way to kick off summer than a neighborhood sidewalk chalk party! Kate of June Bug Parties sent photos of the sweet party she put together recently with her kids.
Kate kept it simple and focused on getting all the kids together for some summer fun. She supplied store-bought popsicles, lemonade, and baskets of sidewalk chalk scattered around the driveway.

Perfect for a summer afternoon, don’t you think? Thanks, Kate, for sharing!

I like the simplicity of this party. Sometimes the most fun is had when your “open-ended” in your activities.
[...] siu momo’s birthday party is only 1 month away! looking for resources and inspirations…check out this boy or girl party (oh my gosh, check this cake out!) and this sidewalk chalk party. [...]
This brought back memories for me. When I was in grade school, towards the end of the year, all the lower grades went out to the sidewalk in front of the school and everyone got a slab of the cement to draw (with chalk) anything they wanted for the rest of the afternoon. It was an annual event I remember looking forward to. Why a great way to unite a neighborhood!
Kate — we agree!
I wanna invitation!
