real party: trash party

April 12, 2011

We thought in honor of Earth Day next week (April 22!) we’d share this unique but oh-so-fun party.  Annika, of Cakes Likes a Party,  put together this “trash party” for her dump truck loving 2-year-old.  Seriously, what little boy wouldn’t love this?

Annika created this fun invitation and mailed it in a brown paper lunch sacks and stuffed them it with newspaper shreds.

And for the cake, dirt cupcakes served in a big dump truck (seriously, what child would not love this?)!

We love the dump truck cookies for guests to take and the recycled center pieces!

And each of the little guests also took home a trash-grabber!

For more photos and details from this party, check out Annika’s post here.  Thanks, Annika, for sharing this very fun and creative party!

And don’t forget to enter our Tiny Prints giveaway!

Oh this is awesome! I have a little boy who would be in heaven if this was his party. Watching the rubbish be collected every week is the biggest thrill! Great work Annika!

What an inventive (and fun!) mom who’d make a trash themed party for her son! And do such a clever job of it! Recently saw a mom who made an entire bagel themed party at her child’s request!

Thanks for the link what a wonderful idea. I think I will have to kidnap it, maybe tweak it a little to a recycling party theme. Just wonderful
