Get ready for an absolutely charming party today! This party was by Vicky of A Subtle Revelry (formerly The City Cradle) for her 2-year-old twins. The party took place in there home where they created a sweet cabin atmosphere – which provided the perfect backdrop for a subdued, vintage afternoon celebration.
Here’s a wonderful sketch of the party by Amanda Waggoner. Isn’t this a wonderful keepsake?
We love all of Vicky’s wonderful handmade touches.
For party hats, Vicky folded hats out of copied book paper – what a festive way to bring print into the design!
Vicky also created this large felt storybook board for the kids to play on with vintage book characters!
They hung fabric bunting with sampling of bright and festive story characters. Balloons that appeared to be floating standing in large vases took the place of bouquets for the day (we LOVE this!).
And finally, party guests were given handcrafted journals and harmonica as favors. So sweet!
Here is the sweet birthday boy and girl, who we’re sure enjoyed this party!
Thanks, Vicky, for sharing your creativity. We adore this party.
