We’re excited to share this fantastic first birthday party sent in by Laura of little frills and ruffle. The theme was ✈ airplanes and travel…and Saint Louis (since that’s where Laura and her family lives!) .
Here’s the passport invitation Laura designed and sent. Isn’t it adorable?
Laura created all sorts of great signage and also a passport for each guest. Once the guests participated in an activity (like eating cake or ice cream!) they got a stamp in the passport. We LOVE that!
The tables were lined with brown kraft paper and sprinkled with giant confetti. Laura and her husband bought balsa wood airplanes that were placed all around to add to the decor.
The kids also played ‘pin the propeller’ on the nose of the airplane. Soo fun (and cute!).
Before departure, all the little party guests went to the baggage claim to get their suitcase favor…filled with homemade sugar cookies, pretzels, a notepad for ideas, small toy and plastic airline wings!
Thanks, Laura, for sharing this party. We love it and its sure to provide a lot of inspiration to other party planners!
Editor’s note (6/2/11): Laura has now opened a shop where a lot of the goodies above are available for purchase!
