Today we’re bringing you a little behind-the-scenes from Maria of Ritzy Bee’s feature in this month’s Southern Living magazine. Maria’s feature was about her ideal Thanksgiving table, including a kid’s table. And here it is!
The thought behind this table was to make it fun, simple and festive. I simply took some vintage chairs, a simple wood table covered with butcher paper and a few special details for the table top.

We added a few fun touches to the butcher paper – a circle for where each plate was to be placed, a “to-eat” list next to each setting, and crayons so pint-size diners can mark off items as they eat.
We added fun details, including paper “I am Thankful” wands and coordinating menus (flower pins from Emerson Made).

We personalized the chairs by putting each child’s name on bunting and hung it around their chair.
And here’s a digital rendering of all the simple but fun paper details (by SIMPLESONG Design).
We hope this might provide a little inspiration as you’re planning your Thanksgiving meal!

What an adorable kids table!!
This is really neat! I’m sure the kids will really find it fun too. My favorite part has to be the ‘fake’ wishbones in the second picture.
this is the best!!
