As summer vacations wind down, it would be fun to craft vacation memories into dioramas, displays and keepsake books with bits + pieces collected that hold precious memories. Make it a little party with your family – pass the popcorn + cookies around while you craft and share your favorite vacation memories together!
Fill a shadow box or jar with your favorite keepsakes.
Or make a wall display for all to see!
Love it, Maria!

could you point me in the right direction on a description for the bottom left image? i’d love to copy the idea and would like to know where the board they used is from. i tried searching on martha’s site but am not having any luck. thanks!
Beka,I’m not sure where they got it (they didn’t have a source) but we have some similar in our studio from Pottery Barn here: http://www.potterybarn.com/products/large-linen-pinboard/
I love your blog, but thinking about summer coming to an end puts a haze of tears in my eyes. How about an “ode to summer” idea?
Great ideas! This is similar to the “vacation boxes” I helped my girls make this year. I bought a couple of pencil boxes for our trip and the girls spent the week collecting things to put in them (river rocks, postcards, armbands from various things we saw). They loved it!
